Julio Ricardo Varela on WGBH Discussing Trump’s Travel Ban and Oscar López Rivera

On Super Bowl Sunday, Latino USA contributor Julio Ricardo Varela joined WGBH’s “Under the Radar” to discuss how President Trump’s travel ban will affect Latino immigrants and whether Oscar López Rivera is a freedom fighter or terrorist.

“I think there’s a bigger issue here about immigration to America,” Varela said in reaction to the executive order. “New immigration is not a good thing for America—it’s un-American. That to me is a very dangerous consequence of all this.”
